Montpellier Health Engineering Student Union (BDE ISM)

About Us

The Student Council for the Health Engineering Program (BDE ISM) is a dynamic student organization affiliated with the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier. It is composed entirely of student volunteers.

Our Goals

• Fostering Cohesion: developing solidarity, mutual support, and the “ISM spirit” within the class
• Promoting Education: raising the profile of Health Engineering within the School of Pharmacy and beyond
• Organizing Student Activities: hosting community-building events throughout the year

Orientation Weekend: A Fun Way to Welcome First-Year Students
Ski trip: three days of relaxation in the mountains, surrounded by good cheer
Student parties: After class, the Student Union organizes parties at the best venues in Montpellier
Surprise events: decorations, talks, meet-and-greets… The innovative “activities” hub offers entertainment all year round
ISM Merch: Sweatshirts and merchandise to proudly show off your class’s colors

A hangout spot under Amphitheater J, open from 12:00 PM to 1:25 PM: microwaves, coffee, chatting… the perfect spot for members.

Class of 2025–26

When you enroll in health engineering, you’re not just joining a program—you’re also becoming part of a close-knit student community where traditions and good cheer are always in the air. To ensure that every newcomer feels at home from the start, a brand-new Student Council has been elected for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Their mission? To welcome you, guide you… and, above all, make sure you have a great year!

This year, Cécilia was elected president of the ISM Student Union, with Line serving as her vice president. They will be joined by Sarah, who will serve as secretary, and Justine, who will handle financial management as treasurer.

Throughout the year, the Student Union is dedicated to giving you an unforgettable college experience! On the agenda: a wide range of events to help you settle in, meet new people, and create wonderful memories. Our Communications VPs, Sara and Habib, will keep you updated on all of this via our social media channels, so stay tuned!

Highlights include must-attend events like the orientation weekend, the gala, and the ski trip, all organized by our VP of Events, Racha. It’s a great way to take a break from everyday life in Montpellier and share some good times together.

For those who love to party, our Party VPs, Mattéo and Paul, have everything planned out! Theme nights and festive outings are on the agenda. They’re supported by Erwan, our Partnerships VP, who’ll be sure to track down the best deals at bars, restaurants, and shops in Montpellier.

When it comes to activities, Soukaïna, Hiba, and Jocelyne are in charge! Their mission: to organize events and workshops to bring students together and help you discover new things in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Our team wouldn't be complete without our active members: Hanane, Candice, Jimena, and Lylia. Always ready to lend a hand, they'll be there to support us and bring all our projects to life.

Our goal is simple: to offer you a year filled with laughter, shared experiences, and good times, in a spirit of kindness and solidarity that reflects the core values of Ingénierie de la Santé. Of course, a big thank you to the entire teaching staff and our teachers, without whom none of this would be possible. Their support allows us to move forward together under the best possible conditions.

WEI XXI – Orientation Weekend

More than 85 students from the program gathered in the Cévennes for a team-building weekend.
This year’s theme was NETFLIX ORIGINALS.
Dressed as characters from *Money Heist*, *Winx Club*, *Peaky Blinders*, or *Lucifer*, the Health Engineering students competed all weekend to claim the title of best team.
On the agenda for the weekend: games, laughter, socializing, festive meals, music, and more…

WEI XVIII – Orientation Weekend

This is THE must-attend event for all IUP students! The goal of this event is to bring participants together, help them get to know one another, and foster a sense of community among the different graduating classes.

Over the course of three action-packed days, participants head outside the university campus to a campground for a wild weekend filled with activities (like bull-riding with ropes…), themed parties (18th-century jungle-themed), and plenty of surprises (like a foam party by the pool…).

All organized by an amazing student council!

Lipton Ice Tea Fresh Contest

You can also shine while having fun: Three students from the Student Union led the Health Engineering program at Montpellier University in the Lipton Ice Tea challenge, THE FRESH CONTEST, which brought together 70 teams from campuses across France.
