Training tailored to market needs

The IS program prepares students for executive positions in the healthcare products sector, addressing emerging demands and needs in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical devices (formulation, clinical development, production, distribution), and health and environmental safety, through:

  • the combination of a solid scientific education with vocational training
  • programs designed and led in collaboration with professionals in each field
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software used in the industrial sector
  • proficiency in English and a second modern language.
  • internships
  • learning starting in the first year of graduate school

Professionalization

It takes many forms:

  • the involvement of numerous healthcare professionals throughout the training program
  • numerous internships (lasting at least 14 months for the full bachelor’s/master’s program), supplemented by case studies and personal projects that are most often directly related to the professional world.
  • advice on improvement
  • a very strong connection withLEEM
  • Alumni Association (AAEISM)

Professional Development Council

The Academic Advancement Council, composed largely of professionals, meets at the end of each academic year.

The Advisory Board is currently chaired by Mr. David FAGUET (SANOFI Montpellier). The council comprises 12 professionals, industry experts from each professional sector covered by the program, and the master’s program administration. Members of the teaching team (program coordinators, instructional designers, and PASTs), the administrative staff, the administration of the School of Pharmacy, and representatives of the alumni association are invited to attend these council meetings.

He actively contributes to:

  • adapt the training program to changes in the professions covered by the Health Engineering program
  • learn about emerging careers
  • revise the schedule of industry conferences and seminars
  • evaluate and comment on training indicators (number of applications received, success rate, internship follow-up, job placement)

Office

The faculty of the Master’s in Health Engineering program meets once or twice a month and aims to:

  • training administration, approval of academic calendars and examination procedures
  • the formation of examination and selection committees
  • the implementation of the changes suggested by the Development Council
  • the planning and development of new mockups
  • Partnership coordination: Remis, Morocco
  • approval of special events organized by the department

The office consists of the Master's program director, the academic director, and the program coordinators.

Faculty

The faculty members come from both academia and the professional world:

  • faculty members (or instructors) at the University of Montpellier
  • part-time associate professionals (PAST). With their dual expertise, these faculty members serve as a particularly effective bridge between the academic and professional worlds.
  • speakers, professionals, and academic experts.

We must also include all internship and apprenticeship supervisors, whose role is particularly crucial.

International

The Health Engineering program has established an international partnership with schools and universities in Europe and the Mediterranean region.
