Training tailored to market needs

The IS program prepares students for management positions in the health products sector, responding to emerging demands and needs in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical devices (formulation, clinical development, production, distribution), and health and environmental safety, by:

  • the combination of a solid scientific education with professional training
  • programs designed and led by professionals from each field
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software in industry
  • proficiency in English and a second modern language.
  • work placements
  • apprenticeship starting in the first year of graduate school

Professionalization

It takes several forms:

  • the involvement of numerous healthcare professionals throughout the training process
  • Numerous internships (up to a minimum of 14 months for the full bachelor's/master's degree program), supplemented by case studies and personal projects, most often directly related to the professional environment.
  • improvement board
  • strong connection withLEEM
  • alumni association (AAEISM)

Professional Development Council

The Improvement Council, largely made up of professionals, meets at the end of each academic year.

The improvement committee is currently chaired by Mr. David FAGUET (SANOFI Montpellier). The board comprises 12 professionals, industry experts from each professional sector covered by the program, and the master's program management team. Members of the teaching team (program director, educational engineer, and PASTs), the administrative team, the management of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and representatives of the alumni association are invited to attend this board.

It actively contributes to:

  • adapt training to changes in the professions targeted by the Health Engineering training program
  • learn about emerging professions
  • readjust the conferences and seminars to be scheduled for manufacturers
  • evaluate and comment on training indicators (number of applications received, success rate, internship follow-up, professional integration)

Office

The teaching team for the Master's in Health Engineering meets once or twice a month and aims to:

  • training management, approval of academic calendars and examination procedures
  • the composition of examination and selection panels
  • the implementation of changes suggested by the improvement committee
  • the reflection and development of new models
  • coordination of partnerships: Remis, Morocco
  • validation of special events organized by the training program

The office is composed of the Master's program director, the director of studies, and the program coordinators.

Faculty

The teaching staff comes from both academia and the professional world:

  • research professors (or professors) at the University of Montpellier
  • part-time associate professionals (PAST). With their dual expertise, these teachers serve as a particularly effective link between academia and the professional world.
  • speakers, professionals, and academic specialists.

All internship and apprenticeship supervisors must be included, as their role is particularly crucial.

International

The Health Engineering program has established an international partnership with schools and universities in Europe and the Mediterranean region.
