WEDNESDAY JANUARY 31, 2024: docu-fiction play on the theme of informed consent

As part of a project with the MODM master's degree in Health Engineering, our Health Engineering course at the UFR Pharmacie is pleased to invite you to the play " Apnée " (with debate), which raises questions of medical ethics. TUESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2024 - AFTER HOUR INNOVATIONS - MEDICAL DEVICES - 4th edition.

5 presentations on innovations in medical devices

The 4th edition of the " After Hours Innovation " 2024 took place on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at the Faculté de Pharmacie de Montpellier in front of more than a hundred face-to-face participants and around thirty by videoconference, interested in innovation in the field of medical devices. .

After an introductory speech by Pr. Hélène Fenet, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy in charge of research, which set the scene for the event, the audience was treated to 4 short (15 minutes) and exciting presentations by students. These presentations took place in the presence of Mr. Aurélien Simonini (Dental Accessories and Medical Devices Development Manager), who represented the Pierre Fabre company, the first sponsor of the Innovation and Medical Devices Chair(https://fondation.edu.umontpellier.fr/programmes-dactivites/chaire-innovation-et-dispositifs-medicaux/), partner of this event.

This year, the audience was treated to 3 presentations by students in the Master 2 Health Engineering DMCC (Medical Devices: from Design to Commercialization) course:

  • Hemo2Life: A solution for transplant preservation
  • Flowmaker: How can we help the heart regain its natural rhythm?
  • Diabeloop: Automation and personalization of type 1 diabetes treatment

and a presentation by students in their 5th year of Pharmacy (Industry stream, DM specialization):

  • SinuStent: intranasal stent for the treatment of chronic sinusitis

And finally, the last session was devoted to Neurinnov (a start-up specializing in the development of functional electrical neurostimulation solutions), with a captivating and enthusiastic presentation by Dr. David Andrieu, CTO of Neurinnov(https://neurinnov.com/), entitled "From paralysis to movement".

The event concluded with a convivial drink, during which there was a rich exchange between all the participants, speakers, students and professionals!

After the Covid-19 crisis, there was clearly renewed interest in this event, and the Innovation After Hours will be back next year with an even improved format and the ambition to help participants discover even more innovations in the medical device field!

The Health Engineering program was present at the Parc des Expositions (Hall B2), on the Faculty of Pharmacy stand ("University" area) on January 18, 19 and 20. november 20-21, 2023: m2 mpes projects in the field at claira (po)

The M2 MPES students carried out a 2-day immersion project in the Living Lab (innovation research methodology carried out by a meeting of public, private and citizen players working in continuous consultation) in Claira (PO), with the mobilization of the town hall, competent elected officials, the operator of the wastewater treatment plant (SAUR) and researchers from CNRS, IRD and the University of Montpellier: very enriching and constructive!

Tuesday, November 14, 2023: M1 and m2 mpes and the "water fresco

The water fresco provides a global vision of the water cycle, thanks to a deck of cards divided into 4 sections: the natural cycle, the anthropogeniccycle ,the impact of mankind and the impact of climate change on these cycles. A discussion then follows on the individual and collective measures that can be taken.

Our Master 2 students had the privilege of visiting the Cosmetic 360 trade show in Paris, a day rich in exchanges and discoveries at the heart of the beauty and cosmetics industry.

October 5-6, 2023 - m2 cosmetics at COSMED and JEST

On Tuesday, they attended two seminars organized by the COSMED Association, focusing on regulatory developments in the European Union and internationally. The week continued with participation in the JEST (Journée d'Echanges Scientifiques et Techniques) organized by COSMED, focusing on the theme of microbiotic cosmetics for innovation.

thursday, march 9, 2023 - conference-roundtable on v.i.e.

2 students from the Master CPPS médicament are organizing this event on the theme of International Corporate Volunteering.

At the beginning of March, Sophie & Malorie, students in the Master CPPS Médicaments program, had the pleasure of organizing a round-table conference at the Faculty of Pharmacy on the subject of Volontariat International d'Entreprise (V.I.E).
This scheme, which enables young people aged 18 to 28 to spend 6 to 24 months abroad, represents a real professional opportunity.

Thanks to Léna Duris, Martin Brochu and Isaure Tétard for sharing their Belgian and American experiences and answering students' questions about this little-known scheme within our classes.
We were also honored to welcome the Club V.I.E, a network of former beneficiaries supported by Business France, andEmmanuelle Darras, representative of the Racines Sud association, which assists students in their search for a V.I.E and in their departure.

We hope this moment of exchange helped motivate students to embark on this enriching human and professional experience!

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2023 - AFTER HOURS INNOVATION - MEDICAL DEVICES

Students present innovative medical device projects in various fields.

After Hours Innovation: The world of medical devices

On Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 5pm, the After Hours Innovation took place in face-to-face format (in Amphi B). This was the3rd edition of an event that began in 2019 at Montpellier's Faculty of Pharmacy after a break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In short 15-minute presentations, 4 groups of students (3 groups from the Master 2 Health Engineering DMCC course (Medical Devices: from Design to Marketing) and one group from the 5th year Pharmacy industry course) presented innovative medical device projects for the treatment of various pathologies (Alzheimer's disease, prostate hypertrophy, phantom pain after amputation and hallux valgus) to around 50 students and staff from the Pharmacy campus. The event ended with a presentation by Dr. Omar Dioury (CSO) from Diappymed, a company developing smartphone applications for people with diabetes.

Finally, a convivial drink brought all the participants together to discuss the innovations presented and the prospects for the event.

JANUARY 23, 2023 - PARIS - MPPS STUDENTS PERFORM AT INNOVATION CHALLENGE

A group of students from the Master MPPS (project management, health products marketing) took part in the l'Oréal/Décathlon challenge (3rd/100).

The aim of this competition is to propose an innovation that reinvents sportsmen and women's well-being through Tech. The jury selected over a hundred projects(https://talentgames.decathlon.com/fr/challenges/challenge-loreal-x-decathlon/teams).

Students in the MPPS master's program at Montpellier's Faculty of Pharmacy presented the project they've been working on since the start of the academic year as part of their APP (Apprentissage Par Projet) program.

Léa Barrabes, Jonathan Gremillon, Chloé Oster and Amaurine Régnier presented their innovation, " double-sided shampoo and conditioner glove". They were rewarded with 3rd place on the podium: congratulations for their hard work, dedication and creativity.

Saturday, December 10, 2022 - Graduation ceremony for the Class of 2022

Just 5 months after the graduations of the classes of 2020 and 2021, which were displaced by the pandemic, it's time for the class of 2022 to receive their diplomas, this time on time.... So, see you at the Faculty of Pharmacy at 10:30 a.m. for this solemn yet joyous event, which also serves to introduce the graduates and their functions in professional life.

2 graduation ceremonies in one day: the Health Engineering classes of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 had been denied graduation due to the pandemic. It was time to make up for it! Friday, June 10, 2022 - Symposium celebrating 30 years of healthcare engineering training

This symposium will consist of a day of oral presentations by graduates from the various career paths.
The event will take place on FRIDAY JUNE 10, 2022 on the Faculty of Pharmacy campus, from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
An interactive discussion and question-and-answer session will be broadcast live.
Lunch from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Cocktails from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
