Jobs/Internships

Internships are of paramount importance in the healthcare engineering curriculum, as they are closely linked to future employment.

Bachelor's degree internships help students choose their future direction by testing out areas of potential interest. They are also often an opportunity to do an internship abroad, to improve the use of a foreign language. Longer Master's internships, and in particular the M2 internship, often lead to jobs: the M2 internship is sometimes a real "trial period" in the company. This is particularly obvious in the case of the apprenticeship-based Master's program.

Jobs :

The types of jobs available to Montpellier "health engineering" graduates are already described in the"professions"section of this site.

New since March 2012: some of the job offers received by our training course are listed onthis pageWe make them available to our graduates and students.

Internships at IUP Santé

Internships are governed by an agreement and are the subject of a written report by the intern. Each year of study ends with an internship:

  • L2: Work placement of at least 6 weeks (June - July - August), compulsory, but not validating ECTS credits.
  • L3: Compulsory 2-month internship (June - July - August) validating 2.5 ECTS.
  • M1: 5-month end-of-year internship from early April to late August - validating 10 ECTS.
  • M2: 6-month end-of-studies internship from the beginning of April to the end of September - end-of-studies professional internship, constituting the 2nd semester of M2 and validating 20 ECTS.

The 5-month internship in M1 and the 6-month internship in M2 are very important for students, as they come at the end of their training. At this stage, they really need to be able to put into practice what they have learned during their training. These internships often lead to apprenticeship contracts (M1 internships) or employment (M2 internships).

Internships are available both in France and abroad. A large file of internships, renewed each year, is available to students.
