A training course adapted to companies’ requirements :
The goal of our curriculum is to train executives in the Health field meeting the emerging demands and needs of the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Health Food industry (formulation, clinical development, production, distribution) and of the Health and Safety and the Envrionment sectors by:
- Combining successfully completed scientific training and professional training
- Curriculum designed and led by professionals in each course
- Learning the Project management tools and softwares of the industry, mastering English and a 2nd foreign language.
- A long work placement in the industry (3 to 5 months in M1 and 4 to 6 months in M2)
- The professionnalisation of courses adapted to the employment market’s demands through the opening of the M2 to apprenticeship training and continuing education (VAP, VAE).
The wide range of the disciplines taught, the implementation and the conducting of projects as well as the courses on offer allow the students to develop transversal skills in Health Engineering which can apply to various sectors such as the pharmaceutical industry, the cosmetics, the biomaterials and the environment. These skills give a significant boost to professional insertion.
The skills are acquired through to a solid common core completed by different courses related to the various sectors of application in terms of health products. The courses provide a double competence “health profession” and project management. This double competence is appreciated by professionals because project management is applicable to all professional sectors, making our graduates operational executives.
These skills can be developed following different criteria :
GENERAL Scientific SKILLS OF THE HEALTH ENGINEERING SPECIALITY (COMMON TO ALL COURSES):
To master the knowledge, the concepts and the techniques allowing to :
- Analyse, synthesise and integrate in a project some scientific, technical, regulatory, economic and organisational information.
- Analyse the different processes in a critical way and propose some improvements.
- Negociate with various contacts and take their opinion into account to develop a strategy.
- Anticipate the risks and difficulties and to bring corrective measures
- Draw up procedures integrating international regulations and the company’s or the laboratory’s standards.
- Integrate compliance to the procedures in a project’s conception and development.
- Design and develop follow-up and analysis tools (instrument panels, graphics…), analyse the differences and regulate project’s progress accordingly.
- Explore a research subject and its limitations, and design the corresponding study protocols
- Research and analyse the documentation related to the studied subject and design a suitable documentary watch
- Define general organisation and production plannings and follow their progress by taking the necessary corrective measures.
- Master all the aspects of a quality approach by applying it to the technical and organisational field.
- To be able to successfully complete applied research– Establish the specifications- Study the pre-projects and the projects – Design, prepare, carry out and analyse pilot studies, products and new processes
- Establish technical and regulatory files
Coordinate and globally manage a study project, the teams involved and the subcontractors
SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES AND SPECIFIC METHODOLOGIES
The aim being to train the future managers of innovation and technological development within the company, the student will have to acquire:
• the capacity to manage a portfolio of knowledge and to ensure an active technological watch,
• the capacity to understand new concepts or knowledge and to confront this knowledge with new situations,
• the capacity to apply project management methods: organise and plan tasks, manage human and financial resources,
• the command of the organisational and methodological tools of product management: conception and formulation of health products, clinical operations, database management and production management (process validation and qualification, purchasing management, stock management, flow management and optimisation, scheduling),
• development of marketing strategies, coordination, marketing plans validation, market surveys,
• the capacity to manage projects in a Total Quality context in the work place.
TRANSVERSAL SKILLS (ORGANISATIONal and interpersonal) OF the health Engineering speciality common to all courses :
- To be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, to be able to manage a time, to motivate it, to assess it and to communicate,
- To know the legal regime of information and data confidentiality, the legislation related to patents and brands,
- To design or analyse a study programme integrating the technical, organizational, ethical and regulatory aspects,
- To implement a documentary research suitable to the study subject, manage competitive intelligence from publications design a Competition Intelligence system,
- To know and use the IT methods and (software, materials, procedures…),
- To possess the techniques of data statistic treatment, the rules of an IT database management and its sharing,
- To master the methods allowing the implementation of a quality approach and to manage audits and inspections,
- To know the quality standards, the recommendations and regulatory demands that apply to the industry and to the related professions,
- To master the managerial techniques: Project management, Quality Management, Deadline Management, Risk Assessment, Financial Analysis and Costs management,
- To know the basics of economics and management,
- To know the basics of health economics, and to be able to integrate this data into a strategy or a sales pitch,
- To be able to analyse the economic impacts of pathologies and their evolution in terms of Public Health or Health costs,
- To be able to analyse the epidemiological data related to health costs and to draw perspectives from it in terms of Public Health,
- To master one or several foreign languages (English, German, Spanish or Italian),
- To be able to exchange information with co-workers and to communicate with third parties,
- To master the basics of staff management: setting targets, workload schedules, training, motivation, performance reviews, assessment.
